TONHO CROCCO Songwriter, lead singer and guitarist of ULTRAMEN, a band from south Brazil that started in 1991, mixing elements from reggae, hip hop & rock with brazilian music and so far released 5 albums: ULTRAMEN -1998 Rock it! Records O INCRÍVEL CASO DA MÚSICA QUE ENCOLHEU E OUTRAS HISTÓRIAS - 2002 Sum Records MTV BRAZIL ACOUSTIC BANDAS GAÚCHAS - 2005 Sony Music CAPA PRETA - 2006 Antídoto/Acit Records Tonho also played and recorded with the group D.FHALA: TOP HITS - 1996 Cogumelo Records Live music bands: CASA DA SOGRA, BLACK MASTER and THE BRAZILIAN SOUND MACHINE which interpreted the masters of Brazilian music such as Pau Brasil, Luís Vagner, Bebeto, Jorge Ben Jor, Tim Maia, Tom Jobim, Seu Jorge among others. Featured tunes with NANDO REIS, PAPAS DA LÍNGUA, NITRO DI, DA GUEDES, FLU, MARCELINHO DA LUA, BATACLÃ F.C. and TROVADORES RS. In 2008, Tonho lived 6 months in Brooklyn/New York; Jamming and playing music in a lot of clubs like NUBLU, DROM, ROSE, ZINC, M1-5 and MISS FAVELA. RUSTIK TAVERN was the great surprise. A concert for BARACK OBAMA, playing with the friend and hip hop artist JOHNNY VOLTIK and his group THE BLACKBIRDS. In addition, Tonho Crocco recorded an EP with 5 songs produced by londoner Simon Katz (producer and former guitarist for the group Gorillaz and Jamiroquai) and the brazilian Zé Luis Oliveira (saxophonist / flutist / producer Blitz, Ritchie, Caetano Veloso , Bebel Gilberto, among others): TETO SOLAR - 2009 MoMo King Records Back to Brazil more than 70 concerts for TETO SOLAR's Tour. Shows in Rio de Janeiro at Estrela da Lapa, Melt, Clandestino, Cinematheque and Conversa Fiada (with Marcelinho da Lua, Marcio Local, Rogê, Joca Vidal and dj Zé Octavio) in São Paulo at Inferno Club and dozens of cities in the State of Rio Grande do Sul-Brazil. 2010 EUROPE Tour. The 3 months tour started in London, performing at Favela Chic (with ADRIANO TRINDADE and multi-instrumentalist ULISSES BEZERRA, son of Bezerra da Silva), the South Bank Centre, Barraco Bar, Raízes (jamming with former Ultramen LUCIANO AKA PERU), Spiritual ( where he played three times) and the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club with FABIO ALLMAN, lead singer of MONOBLOCO. In one memorable night at Favela Chic Paris shared the stage with ADRIANO TRINDADE and BERTRAND DOUSSAIN (founder of Farofa Carioca). Finishing the tour in Barcelona, next to the friend, musician and luthier ANGELO MAESTRI, played at Picasso, Harlem and Mondo.
